Three Bears – Answer!

Jenna is 5 years old and owns Bear A, named Bubble.
Jolika is 4 years old and owns Bear B, named Boodle.
Jessica is 6 years old and owns Bear C, named Bibble.

Here’s how you could figure it out:

From Clue 1
-Jenna must be 5 years old, because this is the only age that is older than one and younger than another.
-Jenna does not own Bear B, which must be owned by the 4 year old.
-Jenna does not have the bear named Bibble, which must belong to the 6 year old.
-Bear B is not Bibble, so the 6 year old owns Bibble.
-Jenna must have Bear A or C.

From Clue 2

-The 4 year old is the youngest, and we used clue 1 to know that she owns bear B. Boodle is the bear at B.
-Since Bibble is the 6 year old’s bear (clue 1) and now we have Boodle with the 4 year old, that means Bubble must be Jenna’s bear.

From Clue 3

-Bubble is not Bear C, and we just learned (clue 2) it is Jenna’s, so Jenna must be Bear A. (We already know in clue 1 she cannot be Bear B.)
-Since Boodle is Bear B (clue 2), and Bubble is now Bear A, Bibble can only be Bear C.

From Clue 4
-If Jolika is younger than Jessica, and Jenna is the 5 year old, Jolika can only be the 4 year old, and owns Bear B, named Boodle.
