Brennan Webb
PACE MEMBER

Brennan Webb is likely the greatest golfer Bracebridge Ontario has ever produced, learning the ropes golfing at South Muskoka Curling and Golf Club. Webb’s dad has been the golf pro there since the day he was born. Webb played last year on several mini tours including 10 tournaments on the Hooters Tour, finishing in the top ten, four times.
The 33-year-old has now earned a place on the 2009 Nationwide Tour by making it through three stages to the final round of the infamously grueling  six round PGA Tour Qualifying Tournament, often referred to simply as “Q-school.”

The Nationwide Tour, an incubator for the parent PGA Tour, has been Webb’s goal since his days as a junior at South Muskoka. After graduating from East Tennessee State University in 1998 Webb moved to Florida playing out of Lake Jovita Golf & Country Club and honing his game competing on the Canadian Tour and other mini tours throughout the Southeast.

Webb now joins the elite company of being one of only five Canadians to earn exempt status on the Nationwide Tour. Two of those Canadians; Mike Weir and Stephen Ames are now regulars on the PGA tour; a place Webb strives to reach.

The 2009 Nationwide schedule featuring 30 events started in February in Panama followed by three events in Australia and New Zealand. Webb has returned to the USA for the balance of the tour schedule with a much anticipated Canadian stop at the Georgian Bay and Raven at Lora Bay Golf Clubs for the Ford Wayne Gretzky Classic this July with sights on making it into the Canadian Open.
