Deposit Insurance Corporation of Ontario (DICO)

Your Deposits Are Protected

The Deposit Insurance Corporation of Ontario is a Provincial Agency providing deposit insurance protection for the members of Ontario Credit Unions and Caisses populaires. DICO insures your deposits subject to the deposit insurance coverage limits specified below.

The maximum basic coverage that is available for all eligible deposits that are held in the name of a depositor at a single member institution is $100,000. DICO provides separate coverage up to a maximum of $100,000 for each of the following types of eligible deposits:

• Deposits held jointly, in the name of two or more persons
• Deposits held in trust for one or more beneficiaries
• Deposits held in registered plan such as RRSPs, RRIFs and RESPs

Note: As with all financial institutions, mutual funds are not insured and as such are not protected by either DICO or CDIC.
